Making It Interview...

with Chelsea Andersson

What inspires you to keep making things?

"Making things is therapeutic to me; it’s a way to create my dream world. The added bonus of bringing joy in the miniatures I create makes it that much more worth it."

What one piece of advice would you give to other makers?

"Never stop learning, and never stop making. There are so many free ways to learn new skills and techniques - classes, YouTube videos, library books - Just keep practicing and adding to your creative toolkit."

What is your biggest takeaway from Making It?

"I went into Making it unsure if I would be able to handle it - I make miniatures, and many of the challenges are BIG. But it turns out I’m way more capable than I gave myself credit for. I just needed to be a little kinder to myself and have a little faith."

"Never stop learning, and never stop making." — Chelsea Andersson
