I'm a Maker Because...

Travis Weaver interview

What inspires you to keep making things?

"I’m determined to show myself, and others, that you can come from nothing and make it these days. You just can’t give up and have to be ok with failing. Understanding that nothing would ever be given to me from an early age has made me the person I am and has embedded a never give up mentality. Every day is a new opportunity for me to make something incredible."

What one piece of advice would you give to other, budding makers?

"Do your own thing and don’t worry about what others are up to. It’ll drive you nuts and distract you from goals. It’s a hard thing to do with social media around everywhere these days, but I would stick to it. With that said, make sure others know your story and be the one that others are looking into."

Manready Merc. has evolved into being a retailer and purveyor of fine goods from a wide variety of other makers and brands.
