"I would say the number one thing that inspires me to keep making things is the satisfaction I get when I see a finished piece. The wood I work with has journeyed so far to get to my shop, and is also so difficult to work with...so seeing a piece finally come together is inspiring and makes all the difficulty worth it."
"I would tell other woodworkers who are just starting out to stay confident and know it takes much patience and time to learn. In the beginning I worked in a shop with a lot of guys who had years of experience with woodworking and it was very intimidating. Many people want to tell you how to do things, it’s important to take it at your own pace."
From custom furniture and tables made of these exotic woods to kitchen bowls and on through to custom art creations, Alexandra truly is making unique woodworking pieces. There is a lot to the sourcing process and ensuring that things are being done sustainably and I encourage you to read into those processes on her website.
