I'm a Maker Because...

Connie Chi interview

What inspires you to keep making things?

"I believe that each and every one of us has the ability to change lives. My inspiration is an innate drive to help people take their businesses from an idea to a brand and finally seeing the impact it has on them. So continuously creating unique brand experiences for me lies the belief that it can change lives not just for the consumer but for entrepreneurs and creators."

What one piece of advice would you give to other makers?

"Whatever it is you are truly in love with creating do not let anyone or anything sway you away from that. Too often when we start out as creators and entrepreneurs the challenge is always how do we generate revenue to sustain our business. Sometimes it is in those desperate moments that we sacrifice what we love doing the most for a quick buck. In turn, it's the quickest way for us to start looking at life through a lackluster lens. In addition, it's imperative to research, study, and really understand the craft you love."
