I'm a Maker Because...

KC Mack interview

What inspires you to keep making things?

"What inspires me to continue my craft is the process of taking something unusable and turning it into an everyday carry item. Vintage baseball mitts typically collect dust, dry out, then deteriorate away. There’s nothing more rewarding than giving them a second life."

What one piece of advice would you give to other makers?

"Don’t give up. If it’s your dream to turn your craft into your everyday job, then make it happen. I quit my day job to run Mack Provisions full time. Sure, there’s been some hard times. With some patience, gumption and grit, I successfully do my dream job everyday."
